In this case of study, Igor Zakarov a Russian student bought a paper from his friend George to submit to Professor Graham because he has some problems such as lack of time, poor grammar, pressure and not to mention the need to get the high grade in order to graduate earlier. Even though George said that it will be no problem to buy a paper, Professor Graham was suspicious and found out it was not Igor’s paper. We could guess that Igor bought the paper from George. The reason why we think that way is that not only he didn’t know how serious the plagiarism is in the United States, but also he was convinced by George that nothing was going to happen. However, contrary to the George’s opinion, we know that it can make a serious problem. Even though a substantial number of students have been tempted to plagiarize, we think this should not be accepted in any situation. At first, schools should teach their students the meaning and consequences of plagiarism as soon as they get into the school. Moreover, we strongly believe that this kind of Igor’s action should be punished with an F to fail the class .However, we think that the second chance should be given to the students due to the fact that everyone could make a mistake.
